The Big Pitch 2023
Architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firm Haskell is committed to advancing disruptive technologies that can change the AEC industry. The Big Pitch is a big part of that effort. It’s a Shark Tank-like contest where Haskell employees submit proposals that solve essential workplace problems, with the winning proposal receiving venture capital support. Castano Group applies its disruptive approach toward helping Haskell promote the Big Pitch, creating promotional videos for the contest that are humorously irreverent and informational.
Additionally, we produce the Big Pitch live awards presentation. Using the TouchDesigner platform, in combination with Notch Real-Time VFX, we create dynamic audiovisual experiences that integrate live virtual environments, prerecorded videos, lighting equipment, audio systems, and show control systems. The Big Pitch live event and its web simulcast exemplify how we can bring live events to life and craft multisensory experiences that go well beyond what’s expected.
The Big Pitch 2024
For the 2024 iteration of the Big Pitch content and event, Castano Group created a show design centered around the visual theme of modular cubes and geometry. The imagery lent itself to dynamic digital animation explorations across every canvas of the Big Pitch event space. The imagery was not merely aesthetic, though — it was philosophical. Every element of show design, from pre-recorded video content to table centerpieces to projection, reflected the Haskell ethos, in which innovation is constructed, not stumbled upon. Like Haskell’s innovation, Castano Group’s live production was stacked — one precise, purposeful move at a time.
