Own the Awk – The Awkline


Own the Awk,  a multimedia campaign created and launched by Altarum and the National Coalition for Sexual Health, aims to help young people talk more openly about sexual health and relationship topics with their partners. As part of the campaign, Castano Group wrote and produced The Awkline, a five-episode video series featuring couples who call a sexual health and relationship expert, Shan Boodram, for advice on navigating “awkward” conversations.  The Awkline used broad comedy and campy visuals to highlight and work through such tricky topics as boundaries and consent, safer sex and STI testing, and how to define a relationship. Castano Group also handled all post-production visual effects and editing on the video series.
